Good News Update - I just hit the 6 month mark with CMV mono and have gone a week now with no bad days and feeling better than I have since getting mono last May. I finally went to a Naturopathic Dr about a month ago and got hooked up with supplements and dietary changes. Thyroid and adrenal function were also low, so getting that fixed helps too. ... more

I posted above on 6/15. Still tired most of the time but no longer feeling weak/sickly. Last week I started taking 4 Tbsp of virgin coconut oil per day. Also large vitamin C doses, alphalfa and omega fish oil. Definitely noticed improvement, although I think the coconut oil causes increased heart rate and blood pressure for me, so I'm discontinuing... more

I'm 44 and have CMV mono for the last 6 weeks. Mono can be caused by EBV or CMV viruses. I had EBV mono in my teens and now CMV. Otherwise I am very healthy.
