From what I understand, the virus has an incubation period of about a month before symptoms start to show. However, the majority of people actually either don't get any symptoms at all or very mild symptoms. I'm 25, and I believe I was infected with EBV in late december - the bad flu-like symptoms then started in mid/late january, which lasted for a solid month.
