Crohn's And Period

This is sort of related to my Crohn's flare-up after a hysterectomy. I am totally convinced that some sort of hormonal imbalance (whether it is from a monthly period or menopause) is setting off all of our Crohn's. My hysterectomy was for fibroids, and wasn't Crohn's related at all. Since my hysterectomy, the Crohn's is back after 38 medication-free years in remission. If I had it to do all over again, I'd live with the fibroids, and keep the Crohn's in remission.

After having an ileostomy in 1969, at age 11, I enjoyed 38 wonderful medication free years of remission from Crohn's. Since having a hysterectomy at age 49, my Crohn's is back with a vengeance.
