I have been referred to the local hospital because of what can only be described as a period with all sysmptoms yesterday, having not had a period for over a year. Just wondered exactly what to expect at the hospital in terms of examination. I have not had a smear test for about 11 years also.

Hi I just found this site as I needed someone to talk/listen to. I had my last period about February 2008 I am 52 and this morning had all the symptoms of a period aching etc. and now have slight bleeding. I am really worried and have made appointment to see a GP tomorrow.
