I would still go if I were you, if this is what your regular doctor said to do. 4 months is a bit old for caput succedaneum (which is what people are referring to when they speak of vacuum births), although if it has been there since birth after a vaginal delivery it is POSSIBLE for it to be there that long, if uncommon.
