Abortion without parental consent ?
Dr. Leonard Grossman / Teen Pregnancy on 10-07-2009 21:26pm
Hi
Welcome to the forum!
Generally abortion in a pregnancy in a minor that is below the age of 18 years cannot be done without the consent of a legal guardian. The guardian is generally a parent but can be a relative or school warden if the child is away from the parent.
Hope this helps. Take care!

Accidental injuries
Dr. Leonard Grossman / Newborn Babies on 07-13-2009 15:37pm
You should not feel guilty for something you did in good conscience.

Be thankful that the CAT scan apparently did not show a significant injury that would have necessitated a surgical intervention.

Growth and the teenage state of development
Dr. Leonard Grossman / Teens on 07-13-2009 15:36pm
Your potential for growth is related to your state of development. If you have not yet started to shave, have little pubic, and armpit hair, you may be concerned, but it seems likely that you probably have a lot of growth potential. If you are shaving and have a mature body hair pattern, you have less potential for growth. I recommend that yo... more

Starting infants on solid foods
Dr. Leonard Grossman / Kids Health and Pediatrics on 07-13-2009 15:34pm
The Committee on Nutrition of the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that it is okay to start solids between 4 and 6 mo. of age. I recommend that foods be introduced slowly and only one new food per week. A baby fed only breast milk for the first year has had the perfect well balanced diet; there is no nutritional need to add other food... more
