Usually when a bipolar says I don't need these meds anymore that's the signal for you to take cover.
No bipolar disorder does not go away. And it sounds like she needs her meds tweaked anyway, causing huge personal problems could very well be mania in action.

I truly believe this is a depression and or mania symptom. I was terrified of this and felt like I had to figure it out RIGHT NOW. I can absolutely understand the op's post.
But that cycle of thought has gone away since I was finally diagnosed with bipolar and take mood stabilizers. Sure it bothers me from time to time but nothing like that frant... more

I know trying to find the right doctor can seem like so much work. But it's worth it. Don't give up the fight, and find a doctor to help you.

My son just finished a 6 week course for a nonlupus related condition.
I noticed that he ate ALOT, and his face took on a moon shape feature. He also was taking naps and he's 10. So there are definantly side effects.

I didn't know that it was related, but I have Lupus and am also allergic to sulfa drugs.
