i am curious....What tests did the neurologist run to determine you didn't have signs of neuro involvement? The first time I went to my doctor I had and eeg which showed slowed brain wave activity, i.E. Seizures. I also had and mri and spinal tap, but mine may have been worse, at least it developed to that point.

i wouldn't fool around with what you are describing. Smelling smoke, i.E. Burning cigarettes, rubber, etc. Is a sign of neuro involvement, especially seizure activity of some sort. I am not saying that you have this manisfestation but I would definitely see a neurologist in your local area. He or she can run tests to see if ... more

All I can say is don't do it. I have been battling lupus for 16 years. I started getting sick when I was 35 with the usual joint pain and minor things that go along with it. I have horrible chronic sinus infections. When one starts coming on I make a sinus rinse using a tsp of salt to one cup of warm water. I suck up the combination with a baby bulb syringe bought at the pharmacy. Only one squirt per nasal passage because more than that can irritate the tissues.
