It sounds like Nocturnal Myoclonus, or Periodic Limb Movement Disorder. The same thing happened to me. I'm taking anti-depressants and Ambian at night, which helps. Shaking In My Sleep?

It could be a form of Myoclonus. There's bout 9 different types. My head twitches, or my hip or legs will move just when I'm falling asleep. It could also be a form of Restless Leg.

My doctor says its anxiety, and has me filled up with anti-depressants. At least its getting better, but feel its just being covered up.
