TexasCop, I totally know what you are going through. My mother has the same type of seizures. She will get very stiff and stare off into space but yet if you ask her a question she can still respond. My mother just started taking keppra and is going through hell. the doctors wont take her off of it because they say the side effects are better than a seizure...but im starting to wonder. she falls asleep everytime she takes a pill and sleeps for about 3-4 hours at a time. it has also caused frequent urination, depression, confusion, stuttering, w... more
you should be checked for transverse myelitis...this disease can sometimes start in the feet and travel up the legs. good luck to u!
