Well my friend didn't have long-term exposure, and now she has recovered a lot. And yes, certain odors did tend to invoke panic attacks, but thankfully it doesn't look like any permanent physical damage has been done

My friend was exposed to formaldehyde recently (inhaled). She experienced breathing problems, throat constriction, etc. immediately. It's been 19 days now (Today is Dec. 31). Now she has asthma-like symptoms, has to use inhalers, and her lung capacity decreased. And there are other symptoms as well.
