I have been taking tamoxifen for 4 years to prevent breast cancer. My cholesterol has quadrupled and my triglyceride level (fat in the blood) is more than 5000. I have found some medical articles that claim tamoxifen greatly raises these levels in some women. Is there anyone who has had this happen?

I just had a blood test which showed triglyceride level of 5150, when it was 242 four years ago. The only medication I was on for that four years was tamoxifen (prevention - I have not had breast cancer).
