Wow, that sounds like the Erythema Multiforme that my daughter had in reaction to penicillin. Her's was all over her skin, but it can manifest in the mouth too. You should call your doctor back and ask him about it. It's pronouced ER-a-THEEM-a MUL-tee-FOR-mee. If that's what you have he should prescribe steroids.
My 3 year old daughter developed Erythema Multiforme 2 years ago after taking amoxicillin. Her doctor said she's probably allergic to penicillin (of which, amoxicillin is one type). Dyan, how did your surgery go? Did it actually help? My TMD is beginning to interfere with my eating.
No clue. I have never had dental surgery or dental problems of any kind at all. I've never even had a cavity.
Hi, for the past 2-3 days, I can only open my jaw about halfway. I've had TMJ for about 3 yrs and it has just gotten really bad within the past 6 months or so.
