It is very unlikely that there is any connection between your swollen lymph nodes and your hair loss.
In general, lymph nodes may be biopsied, to rule-out cancer, when they remain enlarged (or continue enlarging) after 6 to 8 weeks of observation (with or without antibiotics).

Breast tenderness and changes in appetite are relatively common side effects of many oral contraceptives.
Your physician can examine your breasts and, most likely, will be able to reassure you that there is nothing suspicious going on.

Unfortunately, the answer to your question is the subject of ongoing debate. There is a consensus that hormonal therapy can significantly improve quality of life by decreasing the symptoms of metastatic prostate cancer, but it is really not clear if hormonal therapy significantly prolongs life or not.
