Yes, and permanent. She did only have one eye that was turning in. My niece is also in the demographic of children with strabismus who may also need surgery...so it must be genetic! As I understand it, it seems that both your eyes are turning to center? Actually its just my left eye turning in. Hopefully I will get the results your sister did!... more

Yes, my sister had the surgery preformed when she was about 5 or 6 years old. I remember she wore a patch to try to train the eye muscle...and when that didn't work the surgery was recommended. The whites of her eyes were red for days afterwards, and she wore a protective bandage for a day or two...but got great results and was back to normal aft... more
