Ok, I have been to the dentist and I am still none the wiser about my throat symptoms. They are still the same. My dentist has told me that she doesn't recommend I have my wisdom teeth out, as it it generally not recommended in her practice. The back of my gums have been bleeding on one side where the wisdom teeth are coming through. Where the gum hangs over the tooth, its very hard to keep clean aswell, because food particles get stuck underneath. My friend has a lot of spots on his back. They are always worse in the winter than the summer.

Thanks for you're response. I took a course of nystatin at the first sign of the symptoms. They were delicious pastilles! But the oral thrush has still not gone away.
I'm hoping I can figure out the root of the symptoms so I can change whatever is causing it. I don't smoke or have asthma, and this is the first time I have ever had tonsil... more

For the past 4-5 months I have had swollen tonsils and a white coated tongue with red spots. I am now feeling exhausted a lot of the time, there is a dry, burning or tingling sensation at the back of my throat, and I have difficulty swallowing.
