My doctor started checking for dialation a week before my actual due date. It is somewhat painful, but it doesn't last too long. Just VERY uncomfortable. I always thought to myself, that I better toughen up and quit whining because this pain will be nothing compared to labor and delivery!
Unless there's a serious health threat to you or your baby, I would strongly oppose inducing. Inducing contractions will mean that you would need an anesthetic of some type ie an epidural etc because the pain will be to an extent that was not meant naturally for your body.
I think children are not born to share. They are taught to share. Depending on the values that the parents instill in their child, those are the values they will know how to express as adults. One reason could be that alot of people end up with children out of wedlock because they act foolishly without thinking about the consequences of what they are doing.
Smacking a child on the face is ABUSE! Anything physical force used out of your own anger is ABUSE. If you're going to discipline your child, do it when you're CALM and not fuming. I don't think spanking is necessarily abuse, there are definite lines that should not be crossed though.
I think that idea is rediculous!!! Having a child is not a game. If you do not want to put the biological father's name on it then don't put any name at all. It's very deceiving to say the least.
