There is significant risk with BCP's so you are right to be concerned. I only had one risk factor (age--I was 41) and I ended up in the hospital with pulmonary emboli after 6 months on Yaz. My OB put me on the pill to regulate my heavy periods. Oh, if only I could go back and deal with those some other way. I'm finally done with blood thinners ... more

I have been reading everyones blogs, but I dont know if my blood clots are due to yazmin or my prolong sitting at work. I have experience the headaches an nausea, but that is after I have missed a dosage. I would watch myself closer, but I pray this is not from this pill because it has reduced my mood swings.
