ive had tmj for a number of years i got a slplint called splinteck which got rid of all the pain i then had braces to sort out my crooked teeth at the end of the braces i noticed i was grinding my teeth again i noticed my jaw felt stiff i put the splint in to see if it would and all the pain came back ii put heat on it and tried to streched it a li... more
started getting tmj 5 years ago the first 2 in pain i bought a splint off the internet to my amazement the next morning the pain was gone i got braces for my crooked teeth two years pain free but when i was at the end of my treatment my jaw felt stuck i opened my mouth and herd a big cruch on my lleft tmj that never happend before only snapping on ... more
i had braces a while ago but i dont know about getting retainers cause the braces made my tmj worse does anyone think if i dont where the retainers my teeth will shift back to the old position where they would make my pain more bearble any advice would be apreaciated
