red wine and Gout
Gout on 06-12-2008
Drinking 3 glasses of wine per night is anything but moderate drinking. Beer, wine, and whiskey are the worst things you can drink. You will get less attacks once you completely cut out alcohol.
I don't think you will find any long term gout sufferers who advocate moderate or any type of drinking.
sorry

Gout treatment
Gout on 05-20-2008
I would get some indocin and some colchicine if I were you. Those two meds will normally knock down an attack overnight if taken at the onset and in just 1 or 2 days when taken in the middle of a medium attack. It sucks you have to start using meds but what I have found is that this disease gets progressively worse over time.

I do not see it possible to take one thing and be cured for life.
I don't believe in magic.

I drink a ton of soda at my new job and this is a perfect reason to cut it out. Is eating an orange in the morning as good as taking c pills?
