i had physio, and it is a removable orthotic that I used for lower jaw to prevent me from bitting all the way. It doesn't change the position of the jaw. I should not call it luck, insurance companies should fess-up and realize that TMJ related disorders will cost them more if they are not managed immediately; delay only creates more problems, pain might become chronic, muscles hyper/hopo atrophied. btw I was lucky because my insurance covered half of the cost, and I had to pay 750 dollar out of the pocket, for both upper and lower orthotic device.
