I did get an appointment for tomorrow to have the CT done - the insurance company authorized a chest CT which from what my doctor says includes the clavical/collar bone area. I am definately taking this seriously and I hope that we find out what it is. I will write back when I know more. Thank you for the advice and listening.
The lump sits at the base of my neck - and sits right on the collar bone and part of the lump actually covers the collar bone. It is painless. The only thing I feel is a bit of pressure there. The lump is now about 2-2.5" wide it is fixed in the same spot it has been in for the last 5 and a half years. It is soft.
