I had high white blood count also, 10,000 is considered normal, but anything over 11,000 is considered high, mine was 11.5. had a blood smear done i have macrocytosis without anemia. my liver thyroid and vitamin b12 all normal dr told me to quit drinking for 3 months and retest. as alcohol could be the cause of the high mcv. if mcv still high may need bone marrow test. would anything else have shown up if i had a bonemarrow disorder?
