You can put a humidifier in her room, cool mist is the best. Also using a nasal syringe a few times a day (before naps and bedtime) will help clear things up. You definitely need to take him to a therapist. It's not normal whether it is a result of your disciplinary habits or not, especially if he's running a fever while doing it.
