I was diagnosed last month with whooping cough. While my cough is basically gone, I now have a terrible sore throat that won't go away. I had whooping cough, was diagnosed on 7/17/06. While I know the cough can last up to 8 weeks, it's really pretty much gone for me, because I had it for 2 weeks before I was ever diagnosed.
