I didn't have to go to the infectious disease Dr.. cause my staph is all cleared up!! for now at least!! 3 weeks ago i ran out of my meds i take for my intercranial hypertension, diamox & topomax, and within a week my sores all healed and no new ones developed! I went to my primary care Dr. this past week and since I still have these pimples that are popping up she is sending me to an infectious disease Dr. I go on January 8th. I am having another outbreak again to! I went to my Dr. on 11/28 and she said she didn't want to start me on antibiotics again so soon since i just got done them 2 weeks ago. These are sore ones to!
The last med I was on was Cippro, she only gave me this ointment Mupirocin2% to use on the sores. I don't know what to do either! This is really scary... more

I am dealing with my 2nd round of staph, actually goin back to er today cause the sore on my belly hasn't gotten any better. Went on Monday and had IV antibiotics and taking oral antibiotics for 10 days. I should've noticed a change by now!
