Amoxicillin Rash - Now Allergic?

thanks for the emails....they diagnosed my son with mono after the rash episode and sent him for labs. Labs revealed low red blood and platelet counts and high white cell count. Doc gave him prednisone shot and oral pills for 2 wks, we ended up in ER with fever and chest pain. Turned out his spleen and liver were enlarged. Followed up again wit... more

My 15 year old son went to his doctor with fever, throat pain and ear pain. Doc prescribed amoxicillin which he has taken for 9 of the 10 days recommended.
