Thanks for the quick reply! It's interesting you mention seeds... lately I have been eating bread with seeds in them and mixed seeds a lot. Never have I had a gout attack this painful before. I think i'll try stopping them for a while and see if it helps. I went to my doctor today and mentioned the Baking Soda, he was not in favour of it all! ... more

I've had gout attacks off and on for many years. My doctor tests my uric acid about twice a year and it is usually above 8 and below 9. Why Indomethacin ? Why?

Why is it doctors first choice of nsaid's indomethacin? This drug takes 4 hours to take affect, then after another 2 hours the full affect takes place to reduce pain.
