About Questix
Physical Description: I am 5'2", short, long torso, short legs, (how irritating- meh, I'm into martial arts a little, so maybe I should join a class, I hear that's a good body compo. to have for martial arts), large-breasted, fat or thin (also annoying, since I'm a runner), medium bone structure, broad shoulders, muscular physique I can't seem to get rid of, about 20 pounds over weight (aside from muscle and dense bone structure). Personality Description: I'm pretty boring. I hate going outside, even to check the mail, I'm not very confident in myself, not merely because of my appearance, and even though I do my best to be kind to people, my direct and straight-forward personality often-times hinders any potential relationships I might pursue... I also have no interest in pursuing any type of relationship, friend, acquaintance, or otherwise, unless it's beneficial to my goals, so I'm happily single for now, (at least until I come to terms with a few things and finish community college.) Despite all that, I'm very personable, I'm just introverted. Please regard me favorably.

Interests
Writing, studying Japanese, Drawing, Surfing the net, Reading manga, good books, etc. (Need to get back into working out, am a very obsessive person, so when I get into the routine, I workout obsessively, but need to develop a routine that won't be detrimental to my health. I am constantly injuring myself (nothing serious) unintentionally because I over exert myself.

Random Fact About Questix
I'm boring, I hate going out into public.

Favorite Music
Jrock Jpop, Music with good lyrics, but I'm ashamed to admit that I pretty much listen to the crappiest stuff you can imagine when I'm working out, so long as it has a good beat.

Favorite Books & Authors
Manga: Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, Full Metal Alchemist, Junjou Romantica, Okane ga Nai, Gravitation, and more. Books: I prefer texts to books, or 'how to' types of books. In particular, I enjoy reading about psychology, sociology, politics, other languages (Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Chinese), Business, Computers, etc.

Favorite Movies & Shows
American: To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Remember the Titans, Chocolat, The Matrix, (Pretty much anything with Haley Joel Osment; AI, The Sixth Sense, Pay it Forward), The Alien movies (lol, I know... I just love Sigourney Weaver!). Anime: Tsubasa Tokyo Revelations (OAV), Full Metal Alchemist (the series AND movie), Ghost in the Shell (series and movie), and more.

Causes & Charities
I do the Aids walk every year, as well as Light the Night, and sometimes walks for autism because my kid sister is autistic.

My Story
Pretty much just joined this site for motivation and informational reasons. I need to lose 20+ pounds of fat and transform my body into a lean, mean, fighting machine, lol. I'm extremely knowledgeable when it comes to techniques, posture, and basics such as calories burned versus calories taken in, etc., but what I can't seem to grasp is how to develop a routine that will guarantee quick but permenant results, while at the same time, NOT endangering my body. Prefered physical activities and limitations: The day after Thanks Giving last year I bought a treadmill for half price at a sporting goods store, and when I finally got around to breaking it in, I somehow came up with the idea that burning 1000 calories on it a day would help me to burn 3500 calories a week, (3500 calories = 1 pound of fat, so if I burned 1000/day, I'd burn 2 pounds a week, which I'd heard was healthy) so I was basically running/jogging/walking until my treadmil read 999 (under the calories burned field) but I was running for 2 hours straight, so that didn't last long before my knees started hurting. As of now, my whole body aches, and I have been sedentary for nearly 2 weeks now, trying to 'rest and recover,' I hate the idea of having bought my treadmill for nothing (spent $800 on it, it's the type you find in a gym!) and am hoping to learn from the other members of this forum as to a better way to go about obtaining my goals without hurting myself.
