Q: Urine odor on birth control

I have been on birth control for three months, I am taking Yaz. I have not missed any pills, I have only taken 2 or 3 at an hour to two hours late. Last night I had unprotected sex, this morning my urine had a different and distinct smell to it. What could be the cause of this? Could this be another symptom to the Yaz that I have been experiencing? Dizziness, body sore, headache and numbness.

If you are having those symptoms, you need to see a doctor. I'm not sure that they are related to Yaz, but regardless, you should not ignore dizziness and numbness. The different smell could be a one-time thing. Sometimes even what you eat can affect your urine smell. It could also be a UTI.
