Hi, I'm posting this message for my dad. He is a 70-year-old man who recently underwent prostate removal surgery. Thank God it is not Prostate cancer. However, there seems to be a problem after the surgery. During the operation, a urology doctor could not complete the surgery because my dad's blood pressure was going too low. He was afraid that he could die from low blood pressure, so he stopped. He only removed half of the prostate tissues. After the surgery, the doctor put him on two medications; one that shrink the prostate and the other for widening the urination hole. FOr 3 weeks after the surgery my dad was urinating fine. HOwever, after 3 weeks, the problem got worse than before he had surgery! Now it takes 10 minutes for him to urinate and even so he can't completely empty it out. We went to the doctor and all he told us was my dad needs another surgery to remove the remaining prostate tissues. My question is, how can the problem get worse when the doctor removed half of the prostate tissues and put my dad on two medications? Logically, he should get better. Why is this?
