I am very concerned about my father. He is 75 years of age and in normally very healthy condition for his age. Over 13 weeks ago, he started passing blood in his urine. This has been going on constantly now for this period of time. And is getting progressively worse. He has been to his gp and has had both urine and blood tests and both came back with a "satisfactory" result. He has no lower back pain but is constantly having the urge to urinate and this is making him feel very tired and he is afraid to travel any distance because of this. He has now been referred for a CT urogram for further exploration. This bleeding has to be coming from somewhere, and at first, I assumed he had some sort of kidney problem, as I myself have had kidney disease and stones, but then there is severe pain and urinal bleeding associated with that? He seems to be in no pain, but he and I are both now extremely worried. Can you shed any light on what this may be?
