Is a upper GI series accurate when it comes to finding cancer in the esophagus, stomach, small intestines, and other organs? or would a CT scan be better? Also I was wanting to know what would be good for finding abnormalities in lymph nodes?
please reply ASAP this is very important for me to know

Upper GI series provides preliminary information that may help the physician determine if a stomach lesion is present and whether the lesion has benign or malignant features.
When the lesion has both, benign and malignant features, or the symptoms are present despite normal x-ray results, a further diagnostic evaluation with upper endoscopy and biopsy is necessary.
A biopsy is the only sure way to know if cancer cells are present in the suspicious lesion.
Esophagogastroduodenoscopy is the diagnostic imaging procedure of choice in the work-up of stomach cancer.
Ct scan is a useful method of detecting liver and lymph nodes metastases.
