my son is 14years old he has stomach pain that started the day he took the zpack .He got very bad stomach pains and vomiting. Now he just has the pain in his upper part of his stomach that has lasted 2 months. He has seen a pedi.GI doc. and so far has had a biopsy done in his stomach,CT. with and without contrast and everything seems to be normal except he has acid reflux he has been on zantac, prevcid, belladonna, maalox, mylanta,t ums, nexium, carafate, and nothing is taking away his pain.He only eats a little because his pain gets worse he has lost 10lbs. so far and he can't go to school anymore . And the doc. said he may have IBS I don't think so the doc. has no other answer for me. Now their only guessing and he wants to put my son on a antidepression med. i told him no.Has anyone ever heard of something like this please respond asap.we are going to Austin to get a second opinion soon waiting for an appt. this is taking forever!!!!!!

Are there further symptoms such as liver problems? Is there bloating?

Getting a second opinion as you are doing is probably the best option.
