About a week ago I was lifting and felt something pop. Since then my left shoulder and upper back have hurt a lot. I carry my 16 month old all the time and it has since gotten worse. My left arm tingles my chest hurts as well, it almost feels like I am having a hart attack. Is there something that I can do to make it feel any better or should I go into the doctor?

Hello Ash,

Welcome to this forum!!!

Sorry to read about the pain you are having from lifting something.

I would highly recommend that you see your doctor. Don't put it off, for to do so will only potentially make things worse.

In fact, I'd recommend that you also see the very best spinal surgeon who you can find in your area. Not that you may need surgery, but rather that you receive the best medical advice from a doctor who specialises in back issues.

I wish you the best. Your child deserves the best. Now get the medical advice you need for you and your child.

Take care.
