Q: Upper abdominal pain and nausea

I'll try to keep this short. Back in Nov is when it all began. I started having occasional bouts of nausea..never actuall threw up though. Then after a few weeks, I started having pain along with it. It felt as if my stomach was filling up with liquid or something. I went in for several tests, found out my gallbladder wasn't functioning, had it removed and here I am 3.5 months later still suffering. The nausea is about 70% better, but I still get frequent upset stomachs. Its not usually the point of nausea where I feel like I'm going to throw up (sometimes it is that bad) but its usually more like indigestion or just a general queasy feeling. I'm also having pain. It feels as if my stomach or something in the center upper abdomen is tightening and squeezing and it ends up making me feel sick. Sometimes it feels like a dull ache, and other times it feels as if someone knocked the wind out of me or is tightening a band around my upper waist really tight. I also have had several bowel changes. I have frequent constipation even though I'm getting tons of fiber and drinking tons of water. My stools are also sometimes narrow and they're never dark brown like they should be..they're always shades of green or orangish (sorry if TMI). Some days I feel pretty good and don't have pain or feel sick, and other days I feel too sick to barely eat more than crackers. They have done more tests since surgery and have found nothing wrong so far. I do not have any ulcers (I had an endoscopy), its not acid reflux/GERD, I have no infection or imflammation, and I have no food allergies. I have completely cut pop, chocolate, anything citrus, spicy, fatty, greasy or fried out of my diet and I have been pretty much living off of bland foods since before surgery. I am at my wits end. This is RUINING my life. I'm too sick to even hold a job. I would be fired within a month due to missing work too much or needing to go home. I can't even get out and do the things I used to like going out to eat or for drinks. I'm a 25 year old female and I am 100% sure I'm not pregnant.

I know you said you dont have any inflamation, but have you been checked for crohns disease? your symptoms sound just like mine, and i was diagnosed 6 months ago, if you have this condition typical "good foods" for you are really bad, like the fiber, your not supposed to have any fiber, no nuts or seeds, no raw fruit especially stuff like lettuce. no whole grain.

before i was diagnosis i was getting what i called "attacks" every other month, i was missing work like crazy!!! and Im not one to miss work. since ive been diagnosied i havent had a single attack since, i guess it due to eating blan foods.

i could be wrong but just wanted to throw you a possibiilty.
