Hello,
One year ago, i attempted to begin using
birth control--NuvaRing--but chickened
out. I got the boxes from the pharmacy but
just never opened them.
Recently I began a serious relationship
which convinced me to finally start for
real. I opened one and have been using it
for the past 3 weeks. The expiration on
the sachet indicated it wouldn't expire
until 2009.
Now after stumbling upon new information,
it seems that in order for the rings to
still be "good" by that expiration date,
they would've had to have been in the
refrigerator all this time.
They were actually on the top shelf of my
closet. Does this mean that the ring I am
now using has been completely ineffective
and I am probably pregnant??

It is possible. I'd call a pharmacists or
gynecologist and ask.
