Hi, It all started to weeks ago when I was eating a piece of chicken and ate a small piece of bone it hit the back of my throat. it

felt weird and for someone reason gave me bad indigestion. I got a little nervous because then I started getting constipated. I

started fearing the worse some sort of blockage. However after about 4 days I went which for someone who goes everyday

sometimes twice was a long time. After going I seemed for the most part returned to my normal schedule I had some soreness

on my left side a bit but it passed. Then last Saturday I started feeling kind of blocked again but by Monday night manage to

make a big bowel movement. I took an overnight Laxative just in case. Which made go again the next morning. Tuesday

afternoon feeling a feeling a little bloated I noticed that if a touched my belly button(the right side if you were to split in half) it

was tender I say 1/10 in pain. Tuesday night I made the worse mistake of my life and searched for abdominal pain on the right

side. Of course I was now nervous it was my appendix. After having a sleepless Wednesday night worried that at any moment

the pain could get worse and I be in trouble. I decided to go to the hospital Thursday morning. I went in saw the doctor told him

about my mild pain being the only symptom but I wanted to be safe. He did some pushing and feeling and asked me if it felt

worse. It didn't After being there 8 hours for blood urine and xrays. I was told everything came back clean. He sent me home

with PantoLoc for indigestion problems. After doing nothing but drinking water for those 8 hours I went home and enjoyed a

Banana and some toast. That night I got my pills form the pharmacy and took one a half an hour before dinner. Your suppose

to take one in the morning before breakfast but the pharmacist said it wouldn't hurt. While I was eating I felt minor discomfort in

my stomach I thought it maybe it was the pills. So latter that night I started getting a bit of a fever and felt like my food was in my

throat. If I burped it would feel ok for a bit then come back. During the night I woke up feeling hot and my stomach uneasy. I

went back asleep and when I woke up this morning still feel a little weird and might have a bit of fever still but its better than it

was. So was this all form the pills or am I finally getting more signs of appendicitis even though I was checked out less then 24

hours ago. The pain is still in the same spot right on top of my bellybutton but a little to the right. I have yet to have sharp pains

anywhere. So confused the doctors said its not but what if... I have no way of getting back to hospital unless I call my parents

and the might think i'm being scared for no reason even I think I might be.

Hello, and thank you for your medical question on e Health Forum.

From the available history, it seems that the most probable cause of your problems is SEVERE ANXIETY AND INDIGESTION and gastric reflux, rather than appendicitis.

This can be supported by the fact that all tests have been normal so far.

Treatment would be via proper hydration, diet and lifestyle modification, physical exercise, and medications including antacids, omeprazole or other acid reducing medications.

You might consider consulting your physician or a gastroenterologist for additional evaluation, counselling and treatment.

I hope you find this helpful.

Thank you. I appreciated your answer and will take your advice to heart. I admit I get stressed out. Just being born with cerebral palsy and having asthma has a kid hasn't got me thinking i'm invincible. I've had a bone grow out of my wrist. I tend to panic I know that. thanks for your reassurance.

Hi CanadaJoe
I was in a similar situation except when I went to the emergency clinic they found a high white cell count in my blood indicating an infection. The doctor told me that the only way they would know for sure is a CT scan. Mine did confirm perforated appendicitis. I got in this position because I have a high tolerance for pain. Hell, I was bowling with a perforated appendix hours before going to the emergency. Not every person dealing with appendicitis is going to experience severe pain. However, the outcome could be devastating regardless of how much pain anyone feels. if you are still concerned go to your doctor and request a CT Scan. That is going to let you know for sure.
