Hi there,
Today I went to hospital because of a
minor painful urination. But what worries
my is something else. the problem is that
the doctor checked my urethra without
using glove then opened its opening
without glove and afterward inserted a
swab inside my penis to collect sample I
guess for chlamydia or gonorrhea again
without using gloves( after touching stuff
in the office to find the swab. )
I didn't say anything at that moment but
now I am really really worried that I may
have gotten some infection at the
hospital.
would please help me and tell me about the
probability of infection (HIV, Hepatit, or
other STDs that I may have gotten) and
also what should I do?
I appreciate your helps in advance
Sid

If the doctor touched your penis with his
bare fingers without using gloves that is
very unprofessional and potentially
dangerous. You shouldn’t have allowed
him to touch your penis without gloves on.
But anyway, HIV, Hepatitis, Chlamydia,
gonorrhea and most of the sexually
transmitted diseases can’t be
transmitted by a simple touch between
healthy finger’s skin and healthy
penis’s skin. But if he had some skin
lesions (ulcers, wounds or warts) on his
fingers or his fingers were contaminated
with genital excretes (sperm, vaginal
discharge), chances for getting an STD are
much bigger.
Now you can’t do anything but wait for
the results from the urethral sample.
