Unequal prescription in Left and Right eyes.

Hi,
My eye sight in the eyes are as follows:
Left: -0.75
Right -0.50
Glasses prescription that I received is (left -0.75), Right (-0.25). As you can see my eyesight is perfect in the left eye but is not in the right. There is weird (very slightly blurry) feeling while sitting the classroom. I am not sure whether I should address this to correct my right eye prescription to -0.5 or just leave it at -0.25 hoping that my brain will adapt and ignore such difference.

There reason i got it done this way is because a doctor didn't want me to strain my right eye with 100% visual prescription considering its better then left.
