Q: Undiagnosed spots and local inflammation
asked by: DoctorQuestion on April 26th, 2009
i have recently noticed small, literally a couple of mm diameter, red spots on the bell of my penis.
they are not raised, itchy, painful at all, i only noticed them the other day in the shower.
i am still a virgin however have been in contact with my girlfriends vagina unprotected, however after oral i have had nothing around my face at all.
i am yet to go and see anybody about it, too embaressed, and they have only been there, since i noticed, for a few days, have not worsened since but are less pronounced every now and then.
thanks a lot

It is hard to say what the spots are without seeing them. They might be a symptom of local inflammation. If you have not been sexually active in the past few weeks, then there is no need to worry. You might want to wait and see if the spots multiply or become bigger and painful. If any of the mentioned symptoms appear then you might want to visit your family doctor for a physical exam and laboratory tests.
