Hi,
I'm a 19 year old girl, and I have had a fever for over 2 weeks now. I was worried it might be a relapse of malaria or some other tropical disease as I lived in Africa (South Africa and the Democratic Republic of Congo) for several years, and I got very sick there during 2009-2010, that lasted for 6 months. It was similar symptoms of fevers all the time, but no doctors there could figure out what it was.
However, this time around I just got a full health check, and my white blood cell count wasn't even elevated, they found no malaria, no parasites, absolutely nothing wrong with me. Yet the fevers persists. I have lived with this illness before, and I want nothing more than to be cured and to be able to live a normal life. I can't function with constant fevers. I can't go to work or school, my social and personal life has suffered, and I don't want a repeat of this. If anyone has any ideas of what I might have, and any tests I can try to diagnose what I have, I would be eternally grateful!
Please let me know of any more details you need.

To determine the etiology of a fever of unknown origin (FUO) can be very difficult. You need to be evaluated by specialists in infectious diseases and tropical medicine.

If they are available, be sure to take all your medical records with you. Also write down exactly where you were in Africa (be as specific as possible), when you were there, and for how long.

Sorry to hear of your ailment and suffering.
May I please suggest you seek the help you need at the following blog/link. It belongs to a person who practices spiritual healing of a very powerful type. At this point I would advice for you to be open minded as I did when my wife was very ill and all doctors,medicines and tests failed to diagnose and help.
