Understanding sexual preference

I'm not sure if this is the right area to ask for help on this one. But, I put this out there to see what feedback I get.

I'm trying to better understand sexual preference. Is there anything physiological about it? Is is psychological, cultural, ..........?

As a black man, I have a nagging preference for white (or other non-black women). It's the noticeable difference in physical features (i.e. hair, skin, eyes) as well as the stereotypical difference in style.

I love non-black women's hair (it's naturally straight or wavy with no kinks in it). I also love their skin color (from creamy white women to tan colored latinas, asians, and natives).

Help me put this in perspective or direct me to an area where I can better understand this.

you might want to move this to the men's chat or men's sexual health. Most women won't have a preference for other women Wink

Edit: Oh, and by the way, from what I've read, a lot of people get aroused by the difference in skin colour (black and white together) or the stereotypes that surround certain skin colours. Other things can be as you mentioned, how you like straight kink-free hair which are physical attributes which one colour has more often than the other. One other one is the excitement, or the sense of doing something wrong or difference (a white guy making it with a black women used to be seen as taboo and some people feel this increase excitement).

Generally the feeling is that opposites attract each other and this very true for all.

I think it's just aesthetic preference- I always use to swear I would only date brunettes because they're hot.... well, I'm married to a blonde. So there ya go. You can be attracted to whomever you want.
