Q: underactive thyroid ?

I am 23 years old i have had implanon in for contraception for 2years now. I recently noticed that i had put on quite a bit of weight and i still eat the same and exercise the same. because i noticed the weight i thought i was pregnant because my tummy looks like it with all the weight thats just appeard.

I being paranoid squeezed my nipple because i have already gave birth so i knew that if i was preg that fluid coming out of nipples might happen. i have milk coming from just the right nipple. I am always tired at the end of day but when i go to bed i cant sleep for ages.

I done 4 home pregnany test cheap ones and then the clear blue. i went to family planning and they said you cant be pregnant if you have had implanon in for 2years. so i went to gp and he took my blood i dont get the results til another week and i cant sleep or hardly eat with worry

i have an exam to study for and i cant concentrate on anything. has anyone had these symptons so kind of let me know what it could be.

Do you have some other breast changes?
When did you finish breastfeeding your child?

I have been experiencing breast milk leakage for about 3 or 4 weeks now. Its not coming out my nipple all the time. it does when i lie on my tummy at night but it only comes out when squeezed.
My breasts are getting bigger thats the only other change. and i have not breastfeed at all. hope this helps. as i cannot wait til my blood test results its on my mind too much

Extremely eHealthy

Weight gain is one of the possible side effect of having Implanon.
Progesterone (Implanon is synthetic progesterone) stimulates the growth of tissue in the breast, so, you get the feeling of larger breasts.
Breast leakage can be due to use of birth control pills (I'm not sure for Implanon),using some other drugs or due to thyroid disease and benign tumor of pituitary gland.
Intense and continued stimulation of the breasts can also lead to leakage of milky fluid.
All of the mentioned possible causes, usually lead to breast leakage in both breasts.
When the fluid comes from just one breast, it is much more likely that the cause is localized to just that breast.
