Q: Uncontrollable anger leading to self injury

I have an anger issue that I am concerned about. When someone hurts me or I think they are in some way hurting me I just want to hurt myself in different ways. No suicide thoughts just punching windows, driving into oncoming traffic, and so on. I am not sure how to fix this issue or if it is more of a mental health disorder. More recently when I argue to the point of excessiveness I want to just crash my car into a pole to hurt myself. I am worried but don't want to contact Mental Health if it is not a concern they can fix.

I don't know much about it (only researching self-injury for personal stuff), but there *are* therapies that can help. Don't hurt yourself, or other's that severely. Try putting a rubber band around your wrist, and snapping it until the urge passes. Or rip something up, or beat the hell out of a pillow. Or get some really cheap stoneware plates etc and break them.
