So my son had to get a catheterized urine sample to test for a UTI. Well the nurse doing the cath pulled my sons foreskin back all the way. Then she left it pulled back and told me to put his diaper back on. Then I said I thought the foreskin was attached to the tip of the penis she said take his diaper back off. So I did and she pulled the foreskin back over. Then she told me to pull it back to clean it. I told her that as I understood it you don't ever pull the foreskin back on an uncircumcised boy. At this time there was a pediatrician in the hallway that overheard me and he said never never pull the foreskin back on an uncircumcised boy. Then the nurse said to the pediatrician "what about to cath them" the Dr told her you only pull it back just enough to see the opening to get the cath in. So then I looked at her and said "did you pull it back too far" she of course said "no" but I know that she did because the entire tip of my sons penis was left showing. Should I be concerned? Could there have been damage done?

I would schedule another appointment and have it checked by a doctor.

I would have that nurse checked out...if she doesn't even know how to put in a catheter, I wouldn't let her touch my baby.
