Q: unbearable tooth pain

today was my first day of switching to dexadrine from ritalin for my ADD
and it has made my teeth hurt ALOT
well at least im assuming its from the dexadrine
ive never had pain this unbearable on my teeth
can anyone tell me if this will go away over time, if i switch back to ritalin
or if i should go see a dentist

the specific teeth that are in pain are my back right teeth (the whole area)

I would suggest you ask your dentist about this. If you go every six months for cleaning and check ups, your dentist would be aware of something if this were (dental). You might also ask your physican who prescribed this medication to you, if this is one of the side effects. I have never heard of either of these meds causing tooth pain, keep us posted I am curious as to what has to be said. Hope you find out and feel better soon!

i currently dont have a dentist,
i plan on asking my mom to take me to one the next time i see her
my dad (who doesnt live with me, so cant take me to the dentist) told me that i couldve been grinding my teeth as a side effect of amphetamines and that could be the cause

Good for you! Please find a dentist and take care of your teeth.........we only get the one good set to last us the rest of our lives! And I know about living with pain....no day at the beach. I hope you find relief soon Hugs!
