Hello and welcome to eHealth Forum!

Your past experience with this one guy has left you very stressed and anxious. In all probability there is nothing physically wrong. You have developed a phobia for getting up and going for urinating when you are around people. For this counseling by a psychologist or a psychiatrist may help. At times medication may be required.

You need to be mentally strong. You can try yoga and meditation at home, along with deep breathing exercises. This will help you control anxiety to a great extent. Music and aerobics are also good stress busters. Drink plenty of fluids and water (not caffeine), eat fresh fruits and vegetables and keep yourself busy throughout the day.

The usual treatment method is to go for cognitive behavioral therapy. This helps you to analyze the cause of your anxiety and teaches you to alter your thinking process. Psychodynamic psychotherapy is another option that helps take care of unconscious mental conflicts raging in you. You need to discuss this with your doctor and get help from a psychiatrist to overcome anxiety. Hope this helps. Take care!
