i was taking birth control for 7 yr age 17-24. i stopped taking it may of 2008 because my doctor said i might have a collapsed ovary, i moved from the caribbean to Miami so did not get to do further test.

The reason i started taking birth control at age 17,my doctor said i had an hormonal imbalance and that would help me have a regular cycle (and also develop breast, which i did).

I was told by my OB/GYN, after a check-up in 2008 to stop taking them.

Its been 11 months now and my husband and i have been trying to get pregnant,I take note and have intercourse days before and after i ovulate,"i actually feel the pain in my lower right side when it happens and the change in my cervical mucus", i take a multi vitamin with 400 mcg Folic Acid daily , with calcium supplements, magnesium, msm, vitamin C and D, Garlic oil, flax seed oil and biotin 5mg.. and i have yet to get pregnant.

I am 25yrs old 5'3" 125 pounds and my husband is 32yrs old, we have no other kids. i have never been or gotten pregnant. he played basket ball during college, he is very athletic 6'3" 215 pounds and works out a lot, does that have anything to do with why we cant get pregnant? or is there something seriously wrong with me?

One year is not a long time to try to conceive, especially if you've gone off hormonal birth control. It can take a while for a woman's body to adjust to being off birth control. During that time it is very difficult for her to conceive. Eighteen months is the average time it takes a couple to conceive. If you reach two years without becoming pregnant, then you should consult a doctor.
Good luck and have fun with the baby making!
