Current medical status: A recent Echo showed a spot on my heart. The doctors have suggested that I receive a TEE, but appointment was cancelled with the specialist approx. 1 month ago. No follow-up has been done since. When I was 18 I suffered a mild TAA but no problems since. I have been monitored by receiving a Echo every few years and this is how the spot was discovered.
No specific data was given about the spot. The results from the echocardiography would have been helpful, too. It is hard to even suspect what the spot is without further examination. The spot on the ultrasound can indicate a wide range of conditions: from damage and local inflammation to tumors.
